Haptic technology refers to systems and devices that simulate the sense of touch by applying forces, vibrations, or motions to the user. It bridges the gap between digital experiences and physical sensation, allowing users to “feel” virtual environments in a way that was once limited to visual and auditory interaction.

One of the most common applications of haptic technology can be found in everyday consumer electronics, particularly smartphones and wearable devices. When a phone vibrates to signal a notification or provides a subtle pulse when typing on a virtual keyboard, it is using basic haptic feedback.
